      Participant Eligibility
      • 18 years of age or older to enter*
      • Current Northeast Ohio residents or local Northeast Ohio college students are eligible to participate, including NEO residents currently out-of-state for college. Residents in Cleveland, Akron, Canton, and Youngstown metropolitan and surrounding areas.*
      • LGBTQ+ and ally community members are eligible to participate.
      • Studio West 117 employees or affiliates are not eligible to prevent biased candidate selection.
      • Studio West 117 reserves the right to disqualify any candidate at any point in the competition.
      • Only one concept per candidate will be considered for voting.

      Winner Selection & Prizes
      • Once art submission ends, up to 4 candidates will be selected and contacted to produce fully rendered, vector artwork (Adobe Illustrator .eps or .ai) of their concept for voting due within 2 weeks. No other form of graphic will be accepted or eligible for continuation.
      • If less than 2 qualified submissions, the winner will be selected by default.
      • Prizes will only be distributed after candidates produce the final vector art and winners have been chosen.
      • Winners are chosen based on number of public votes received.
      • First prize winner with the most votes will receive a $500 Visa gift card, a sampling of materials acquired by Studio West 117 for Pride event staff (if any), featured on our website, social media, and winning artwork will be used on our Pride graphics.
      • The runner-up will receive a $250 Visa gift card.
      • The remaining 2 candidates will each receive a $100 Visa gift card.
      • Prizes must be picked up in-person by candidate or another authorized individual within 30 days of announcement or prize gift card will be forfeit.*
      • Artwork copyright use for the first place winning candidate will belong to Studio West 117 upon prize delivery.
      • In the event of a voting tie, Studio West 117 will hold an internal tie-breaking vote for a candidate to proceed.
      Artwork Requirements
      • Artwork eligible for voting must be fully rendered, vector artwork (Adobe Illustrator .eps or .ai). No other form of graphic will be accepted or eligible for continuation.
      • Artwork must include the phrase “Cleveland Pride” or “CLE Pride” with a smaller phrase for “Studio West 117” or “SW117” and the current Pride year.
      • Must incorporate Progress Pride colors somehow.

      *Valid form of ID and proof of residency may be required before winner announcement or prize pickup.

      Maintenance Technician

      REPORTS TO: Property Manager and Director of Operations
      PAY/BENEFITS: $45-55,000 commensurate with experience. Participation in the following Benefits Programs: 20 days annual PTO in lieu of paid holidays, competitive health insurance offered with employer contribution, long term disability benefits.

      JOB OVERVIEW

      This is a full-time position responsible for all matters relating to the general maintenance and repairs of residential, commercial, and vacant properties.

      RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
      • Engage and perform skilled maintenance and repairs
      • Refurbishing of vacant units
      • Maintain inventory of materials and supplies
      • Maintenance of equipment and tools
      • Perform emergency repairs during evenings, weekends, and holidays
      • Complete work order forms and required paperwork/reports
      • Accompany inspectors, investors and management staff to properties as needed
      • Coordinate repairs with outside vendors/contractors as needed
      • Provide access to utility companies as needed
      • Set up for events and planned activities as needed
      • Performance of other duties as assigned by the Property Manager and Director of Operations
      DESIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
      • High school education or equivalent.
      • Valid driver’s license or work vehicle. Truck or van preferred.
      • Knowledge and experience in building construction and maintenance including but not limited to plumbing, HVAC, electrical, carpentry, and painting
      • Familiarity with historic preservation and restoration techniques
      • Personable and trustworthy, detail oriented, with the ability to work with persons of all backgrounds
      • Strong time management skills with flexibility in prioritizing assigned tasks
      • A concern for workplace safety and the ability to follow OSHA guidelines
      • Ability to respond to electronic work orders and complete data entry in proprietary systems
      • Ability to motivate others and be a team player
      • Pass a criminal background check
      PHYSICAL DEMANDS

      Ability to operate a motor vehicle and equipment such as: snow blower and landscaping equipment. May require reaching, standing, walking, climbing and the ability to lift or move objects up to 60 lbs.

      WORKING CONDITIONS

      Availability for extended hours during peak periods and attendance at evening and weekend meetings and events. Exposure to inside and outside environmental conditions. All Studio West buildings are smoke-free facilities.

      Communications Specialist

      JOB OVERVIEW

      Studio West 117 is searching for a Communications Specialist to help coordinate and enhance digital platforms, website content, online visibility, and brand growth. This position works with key stakeholders and other industry professionals to help raise the profile of the brand and several sub-brands. This person is a content creator, writer/editor, has strong attention to detail skills, and is creative.

      RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
      • Creation of engaging content for social media, major electronic communications, and promotional material that adheres to brand guidelines
      • Design, implement and maintain a yearly content calendar using an identified social media management tool (Hootsuite, Sprout Social, etc.).
      • Event promotion and support, including posting events on social media and the website.
      • Event attendance for social media content creation and promotion, including photos and video
      • Manage all paid social media campaigns and budget.
      • Maintain media database, including contacts and media hits for Studio West 117
      • Monitor and respond to social media comments, direct messages, and emails, as appropriate.
      • Review and report on analytics from paid and nonpaid social media campaigns.
      • Identify and act on opportunities to build brand awareness, drive engagement, and grow our digital community via online channels.
      • Stay updated on the latest social media news and industry trends.
      • Potential event photography and videography for archival and promotional purposes
      • Other duties as assigned.
      CORE EXPECTATIONS
      • Collaboration within Studio West 117 as well as with external stakeholders
      • Willingness to participate in a culture that welcomes and affirms people of all sizes, races, ethnicities, religions, ability levels, sexual orientations, gender identities, and gender expression or presentation.
      • An understanding LGBTQ+ issues and concepts at the local level
      • Familiarity with LGBTQ+ culture, including local artists and entertainers
      • Willing to be flexible with hours to accommodate for evening and weekend events
      DESIRED EXPERIENCE

      An ideal candidate would have a minimum of 2-5 years of paid experience in the field of marketing and communications; Experience and familiarity with startups and startup culture preferred

      DESIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
      • Social media content creation
      • Must be extremely organized and independently motivated
      • Strong verbal and written communications skills.
      • Experience using Sprout Social, Sprinklr, Hootsuite, or similar social media management dashboard.
      • Must be a team player while working with little supervision.
      • Basic understanding of search engine optimization.
      • Basic understanding of Google Analytics, AdWords, and Google Business Profile.
      • Willing to learn new systems and software.

      Bar & Restaurant Positions

      Full-time and part-time available.

      • Service Manager(s): Salary position that manages the floor staff, talks with all tables and ensures guest service is in line with adopted standards.
      • Bartender: Hourly position which makes alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks for guests following adopted recipes.
      • Barback: Hourly position responsible for assisting bartenders with stocking juices, condiments, fruit, ice and removing trash, cleaning spills and other support tasks as assigned.
      • Server: Hourly position responsible for greeting guests, taking orders, submitting to kitchen, collecting orders and delivering to guests as well as other support tasks as assigned.
      • Host/Hostess: Hourly position which greets guests as they enter the restaurant and handles getting them seated and/or managing their reservation. This position is also responsible for maintaining entryway and patio cleanliness during the shift.
      • Security: Hourly position which checks ID’s, monitors crowd levels and ensures the safety of all guests. This position has additional training requirements including life safety courses and alcohol management.
      • Kitchen Line & Prep Cook: Hourly position responsible for preparing prep items and cooking/preparing orders for guests. This position will have additional training requirements including ServSafe.
      • Dishwasher: Hourly position responsible for washing and storing all dishes and prep tools.
