Calling LGBTQ+ Artists: Tour The Fieldhouse!
Wed, August 10 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm
Come learn about Studio West 117 and two of its initiatives, the LGBTQ+ Art Mural Program and The Edge: An Artisan Fair.
Studio West 117 is a first of its kind neighborhood created by and for the LGBTQ+ Community of Greater Cleveland. Open to people of all ages and spanning over 300,000 square feet, Studio West 117 is an evolving collection of entertainment, sports, and dining venues, in addition to housing, identity-affirming businesses and social service. Tour the space with Studio West 117 co-developers, Betsy Figgie and Daniel Budish.
The Art Mural Program will amplify LGBTQ+ voices through murals and visual art that animates the 9,000 sq foot space of the Fieldhouse at Studio West 117. Learn more about the program and answer our call for artists by submitting an application to be considered for a commission to create artwork for the FIeldhouse.
The Edge is a marketplace created for LGBTQ+ artists, makers, entrepreneurs, and their allies. It will have studio space available for those looking for a new or expanded location as well as event space for classes or shows. Come learn more and apply to be a vendor.
We will be starting at the Symposium Nightclub to gather, network, hear some introductions and then we’ll conclude with a tour of the Fieldhouse. There is ample street parking and available spaces in the lot across the street from The Symposium.
This is a free event, but please register at art.studiowest117.com/register if you and others would like to attend.
