Studio West 117 Secures $4 Million Grant From the Ohio Brownfield Remediation Program
LAKEWOOD, OH – Studio West 117 is thrilled to announce that it has received a $4 million grant from the State of Ohio’s Brownfield Remediation Program for cleanup, remediation, demolition, and infrastructure work on its development sites.
“Projects on urban infill sites require a huge amount of resources to properly clean up and prepare for new development. These funds will enable the Studio West 117 project to move forward with its vision of creating a new ecosystem for Cleveland’s LGBTQ+ community” said Studio West 117 co-developers, Daniel Budish & Betsy Figgie.
The award will be used for the abatement of asbestos, environmental remediation, and selective demolition work among other things to enable the renovation of the Fieldhouse and Phantasy Entertainment Complex and to prepare for the new construction project on the former National Tire and Battery site.
